Name:: Elaine “I play craps with a friend of mine, and she plays what is known as ‘negatively’. While we are all hoping for the point to win, the negative player is waiting for everyone to lose, by betting the opposite way to everyone else.
When most players are placing bets on the pass bar, negative players are betting on the don’t pass bar, which not only means they are on the casino’s side, they are yelling for different numbers at the craps table and annoying the other players. It creates a bit of fun between my friend and I when we play, as we are both hoping each other loses.”

“To make it even worse, she also ‘plays the field’, which earns her bonus winnings - at the same time as I lose my come bet, and occasionally pass line bet! She is a private craps player, and she probably plays this style to secretly pray the noisy people lose.” |

Good Points to this style: Betting with the casino ensures your odds are better! Its also extremely simple … you only have 1 or 2 bets to manage and from here can venture into numbers or learn other possible bets one at a time.
The downside to this style: The dirty looks from other players at the craps table when you shout ‘yahoo’ when you win … but you’ll never really win that much at once, just consistent even money. |
